You can tell me your revenue to the cent. Ask what you own and it goes quiet.

People come to you for advice. You are the one who figured it out. You cannot exactly put your hand up in a room and admit that you have money sitting in an account doing nothing, no plan behind it, and no idea whether the last three years of work will still be worth something in ten.

So it stays quiet. And quiet is expensive.

Earning money and knowing what to do with money are two completely different skills. You were taught one of them. Not by choice — nobody sat you down for the second one. Not a parent, not a school, not one person in the room where the decisions were being made.

That is a gap, not a flaw. And a gap can be closed in an afternoon with the right people in front of you.

Four things, done properly. Not motivation. Not mindset. The mechanics that decide whether your work turns into something you own.

Raising it. Where the money for your business actually comes from, what investors are looking at when they look at you, and what you give away when you take it. Including the terms most founders sign without reading twice.

Investing it. What to do with money once it arrives so it works while you sleep. Property, markets, businesses that are not yours. How women who did it started — and how small the first one usually is.

Keeping it through the building years. Saving while you are still growing, when every dirham has somewhere it could go. The reserve that keeps you calm when a launch is late, a client leaves, or a market turns.

Owning it. Equity. Whose name is on what, what your shareholder agreement really says, and how to structure a company so that what you build stays yours.

The panel is women who have raised, invested, structured and owned. They will say the numbers out loud, including the ones that did not work. That is the condition of being on this panel.

The rest of the room is women building real things. Founders, operators, investors. Nobody is here to be impressed, and nobody is here to sell you anything from the front.
